The Three Angels’ Chorale goes "down under"

52 concerts, 5 countries, and 30 days—our most extensive international tour to date.

Despite many requests, we've hesitated going "down under" with the choir, mainly because of outrageous airfares, especially during November/December. Yet for only an additional $500, we could add four more countries, which made us feel slightly better.

But then God started pouring out the finances in incredible ways, and we stopped hesitating and started planning.

We began our trip in Hong Kong, where we received wonderful opportunities at both schools and churches to share the life of Christ--from His birth to His promises to come again. From Hong Kong we flew to S. Malaysia to work for several days with Aenon Health Farm in the city of Malacca, sharing the gospel in song in shopping centers and a hospital.  At these public concerts we were able to hand out a considerable number of Messiah magazines as well as promotional materials for Aenon.

We had a wonderful weekend in Hat Yai, Thailand, ministering to the growing Seventh-day Adventist church there, as well as participating with the Prince of Songka University singers in celebrating the King of Thailand's birthday.  Of course, we sang about the birth of the King of Kings. What a surprise to discover that in this very Buddhist country, the university choir director was a Christian, too! On behalf of our choir, we presented him with a copy of Messiah magazine for each member of his choir. We can only trust the results of this unique opportunity to God.

From S. Thailand we returned to Malaysia, specifically to Penang, where we assisted in an evangelistic series and sang in four other shopping centers. Yes, this was the Penang hit by the recent Tsunami. It is sobering to consider that some in our audience were likely victims of the killer waves. We pray that something we said or sang touched them for eternity.

In New Zealand, we teamed up with Three Angels’ Ministries, a lay outreach to prisons, churches, and shopping malls. What a great experience to join an active ministry in helping further God’s work in their region. We’d return any day!

Our last 10 days was spent on a whirlwind trip from Brisbane to Melbourne, Australia. On several occasions, our concert organizers did considerable public advertising and attracted a large number of visitors to their local churches for our concerts. This is what we would hope for in every church we sing in.

God’s protection and providence was clearly evident from the trip's beginning to end. We thank each of you who gave and prayed for this unique ministry.
